About Abacus
Once you step on the walkway to Abacus, you will leave the worries of the outside world behind. Our doors open to a tranquil setting that is sure to please even the most discriminating of tastes. As you enter, you are greeted with a warm smile and escorted to an area that suits your mood - the elegant bar where your night may begin and end, one of our three art-filled dining rooms, or perhaps the chef's table which seats 8-12 guests. The chef's table provides you with a view of the first European style theater kitchen in the city, and it hasn't gone unnoticed. The kitchen itself would be worth a visit, but the food is what brings our guests back time after time.

"I want everyone that experiences Abacus to feel as if they are a guest in my home," says Chef Rathbun, who opened his new restaurant in pursuit of a lifelong dream. "We treat our customers in such a way they will want to return often to let us wine and dine them in our uniquely hospitable way."

When you become one of our guests, you know that the focus is on you and your enjoyment of the flavorful dishes prepared as you like them. Chef Rathbun and his staff go the distance to ensure personalized service and the best possible dining experience for every guest that crosses our threshold. Having worked with many celebrated chefs in world renowned restaurants, on television, and at special events, Rathbun's interest in creative, new, and unusual dishes have taken him to kitchens all over the world to research new ways to prepare food. This research is widely reflected in the Abacus menu, which demonstrates Rathbun's eclectic style by blending Mediterranean, Cajun/Creole, American, Southwestern, and Pacific Rim influences into unique sensations.
